The project consists of 4no 3bed and 1no 4bed houses at Whitebeam Avenue, and 3no 4bed houses at Eridge Green, near St Mary Cray in Bromley. The self builders have been on site since summer 1998 and are due to finish next month. The pre-fabricated Masonite frames were originally to have been erected by subcontractors, but when the timber frame manufacturer went bankrupt the self builders took over most of the structural fixing themselves, with some help from the new manufacturer, Oregon.
